Our designers are amazing at creating gorgeous gowns. One thing that is noteworthy is that they are made to be altered. For a picture perfect fit on your wedding day we highly recommend using a profession wedding gown seamstress. We refer out to some amazing women in town that have a special skill set.
We asked Yvonne with - Alterations by Yvonne - some of her tips for wedding gown alterations.
It’s much easier to take in a dress than to hope we have enoughseam allowance to let it out. If there is not enough seam allowance to let it out we can convert it to a corset back, which is a great option for pregnant brides. It is almost always more cost effective to take in a dress than add a corset. I always recommend that you buy the dress for the size you are now, not the size you plan to be at your wedding. |

I can do almost any customization a bride can desire, including modesty/temple fills. Adding a layer of sparkle tulle has been a popular customization recently. Sleeves can cost anywhere from $40-$200 depending on if the bride is looking for a simple tulle swoop or anything up to a lace long sleeve. Hand beading is absolutely possible but tends to be pricy due to the time involved. I’m always happy to give price estimates on any customization a bride is considering. |
